- Cross-Text Connections — compare and connect ideas across paired passages.
Expression of Ideas (2 skills)
- Rhetorical Synthesis — combine given notes to meet a stated goal.
- Transitions — choose logical connectors between ideas.
Standard English Conventions (2 skills)
- Boundaries — sentence construction, punctuation, and clause boundaries.
- Form, Structure, and Sense — grammar, agreement, and logical word form.
